Robert Half Sr. Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in North Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with handling a range of accounting duties, including preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with internal control evaluations. This role offers an exciting opportunity in the accounting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate journal entries for financial transactions

• Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy

• Review general ledger accounts and prepare necessary adjusting journal entries

• Conduct account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts

• Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts in an organized and efficient manner

• Assist with initial internal control evaluations to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals to keep records up-to-date

• Assist with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

• Take on additional projects as needed to support the accounting team

• Utilize strong Microsoft Office application knowledge, particularly Excel, to streamline tasks and improve processes.

Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Bank Reconciliations skills are necessary

• General Ledger expertise is a must

• Should have a strong understanding of Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected

• Must have experience in Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite is vital

• Familiarity with Oracle programs is necessary

• SAP skills are a requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Proven experience as a Sr. Staff Accountant or similar role

• Strong knowledge of GAAP

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task

• CPA certification is a plus but not a requirement

• Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job

• Must be willing to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
