Position Description

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Body Repair and Paint Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Dallas, TX.

  • Average Weekly Pay: $980.00

  • Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday Weekends OFF

  • Hours: Second Shift 2:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Vocational or Technical Certification in related field preferred

  • Two (2) years or more experience in truck and trailer paint and body work

  • Safety Sensitive Position

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively, work shift work/weekend as required, perform all entry level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude

  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computers

  • Some experience in transportation maintenance preferred

  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test

  • Pass a Ryder Background

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects

  • Remove rust and other debris from surfaces to be painted, fill cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface, mask and prep vehicle surfaces

  • Mix paints to match color specifications or vehicles' original colors, stirring or thinning paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment

  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths

  • Performs other duties as assigned
