Texas Instruments US International Tax Compliance Manager in Dallas, Texas

Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an energetic, service minded leader, who enjoys helping others to succeed by providing team members and internal customers with motivation and support in a positive and professional work environment.

Responsibilities include :

  • Manage all aspects of US federal tax reporting of TI’s international activities, such as foreign income inclusions (subpart F, GILTI, 245A dividends), foreign tax credits, and any special US income tax items related to TI’s activity outside the US (sec. 250 deduction, BEAT, foreign tax redeterminations, etc).

  • Manage local income tax return filing obligations for TI’s Canadian subsidiary including the computation of estimate payments and quarterly provision.

  • Collaborate with Federal and State & Local compliance teams to improve the efficiency of the annual federal and state returns preparation, minimize duplication of effort, and ensure equitable workload across income tax compliance team.

  • Support Tax Planning and Tax Accounting team by maintaining tax attributes of TI’s foreign subsidiaries, assisting with modeling various “what-if” scenarios, and helping incorporate any US tax law/guidance changes in the annual forecast and compliance cycle.

  • Build, lead, develop and mentor a strong performing team of tax professionals.

  • Collaborate with Tax Counsel to review disclosure requirements for various taxable and tax-free transactions and prepare the necessary statements and disclosures to be attached to the tax return

  • Partner with Tax Controversy team to ensure US international compliance efforts are ‘audit ready’ and to resolve issues raised on audit strategically and efficiently.

  • Identify and implement process improvement including streamlining and automation of recurring calculations including evaluating and implementing tax technology tools.

  • Research and document wide variety of tax topics

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in related field

  • 5 years of experience

Preferred requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, with an emphasis on the US International provisions.

  • Rudimentary working knowledge of tax laws in various countries helpful.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; works well independently and in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, self-organization, and attention to details.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong track record of managing complex processes and driving process improvements.

  • Proficiency with ONESOURCE Income Tax, DataFlow, and SharePoint required; SAP, BPC, BO, Alteryx, other TI tools helpful.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting with 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong tax research skills.

  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
