Job Descriptions:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To effectively plan, monitor, and control inventory so that parts are available to meet customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Reviews planned and unplanned material requirements and loads requisitions as necessary.

• Assigns new stock numbers and maintains changes to the Item Master file.

• Processes receipts of incoming material and issues material to manufacturing operations.

• Processes discrepant receipt notifications and resolves issues.

• Controls customer and government furnished property and returns from customers.

• Issues, requisitions, and maintains MRO stock parts.

• Provides direction to hourly personnel in regard to inventory processes.

Other Job Functions

• Material Control

New part set-up in system, and processes inventory control transactions.

• Material Planning

Reviews planned and unplanned material requirements and loads requisitions as necessary.

• MRO Stock Parts

Issues, requisitions, and maintains MRO stock parts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

• Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

• Ability to adhere to workplace rules

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2-year college/university degree (technical field preferred), or equivalent experience required.

• 1 to 2 years related experience in manufacturing or computerized data analysis field required.

• Knowledge of inventory systems; computer skills required.

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Office environment

• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
