Seeking an Automation Engineer! Job Description

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Automation Engineer, where you will implement automation objectives on the molding floor, including cobots, pickers, and conveyance, to reduce costs and increase operational efficiencies. You will own the troubleshooting of secondary operations such as pad printing, laser engraving, and sonic welding. In this role, you will consult during the estimating phase for assembly and automation opportunities, and then implement the quoted processes in manufacturing upon release. You will effectively communicate solutions to end-users, provide customer-focused support, and lead the development of in-house robotic integration projects for new or continuous improvement projects. Additionally, you will work with outside vendors to determine necessary parts and estimated budgets for projects, maintain and provide appropriate documentation, and understand and implement the integration of safety circuits and machine interfaces. Your role will also involve leading the development, installation, and programming of robotic work cells from concept to post-production turnover, and training and mentoring production technicians and maintenance personnel.
