Industrial Engineering Manager

Position Overview

Drive continuous improvement and seek ways to assure financial accountability. Coach and develop associates in the Industrial Engineering department at Plant 81. Work on initiatives that you deem important or as assigned to you, which may require being on a team or leading a team.

Responsibilities: ​

• Hire, train, and develop associates in the Industrial Engineering Department, including Industrial Engineers, Plant Accountant, Accounting Clerk, and Manufacturing Order Clerk.

• Lead the plant in determining cost reduction goals and developing strategies to attain them.

• Lead improvement opportunities utilizing tools including, but not limited to, Six Sigma, Lean, Work Study/Measurement, etc.

• Understand the Plant Operating Variance Analysis (POVA), including preparation and analysis.

• Understand variance projections and explain delta between projected variance and actual variance.

• Lead financial training events to increase the financial acumen of key plant personnel.

• Lead annual operating budget development process.

• Manage product spec changes and routings

• Create, update, and maintain product costing guidelines.

• Prepare presentations related to plant performance.

• Maintain or create appropriate capacity levels.

• Lead the plant in creating an annual capital budget.

• Write, review, and approve capital or expense projects, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness

• Assist plant management on project planning and implementation.

• Meet Sarbanes Oxley audit requirement.

• Assist with systems as needed (development, improvement, or problem resolution).

• Conduct special project analysis and recommendations. Coordinate response to any Management request.

  Requirements:

• 4 Year Degree and 2 + years IE Experience leading successful teams

  ​

  Preferred:

• Industrial Engineering, Management, or Finance related degree​

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
