Position Overview
Shaw Industries is searching for a Quality Process Engineer to provide support for the Quality Engineering Department, production departments, outside vendors, and customers in regard to Product Quality and Service.

Essential Duties:
Work on projects and assignments as required by the Quality Manager and/or Plant and Corporate management.
Work with Yarn facilities as well as outside yarn vendors to optimize yarn systems and performance.
Work closely with Customer Service in referring information on orders with quality problems.
Properly determine product grade and disposition as needed during product development reviews, and during daily roll reviews / audits.
Work with department managers of the individual production areas regarding quality issues and assist in determining root causes and developing effective corrective plans.
Work closely with Financial Services in researching and resolving Customer claims.
Analyze product testing and keep management informed of product performance
Attend Daily Conformance Audits
Attend R & D and MTR reviews.
Manage and monitor SMS processes and procedures. Perform internal and external audits.
Lead training for critical quality processes within the plant as required. Train and support quality inspectors within the production departments and within the Quality Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum four years)
Experience in carpet manufacturing and ability to identify carpet defects
Read, comprehend, and analyze data/reports
