WR Systems Electrical Engineer, Lead in Dam Neck, Virginia

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance is required to start

Travel Requirements : Less than 10%

Location: Dam Neck, VA

SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design of Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) based solutions for radar distribution and radar display capabilities.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

· Independently design electronic circuits, components and integrated systems, utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials.

· Independently design test control apparatus and equipment, determines procedures for testing products and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.

· Direct field operations and maintenance of electronic installations.

· Evaluate operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.

· Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

· Participate in the research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

· Consult with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

· Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, testing, changes, and corrections.

· Write documentation or review documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

· Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics engineering or electrical/electronics engineering technology.

· Six (6) + years of professional engineering design experience in one of the following areas:

o Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Interface protocols (I/O)

o Digital design using state-of-the art microprocessors; analog, power and/or RF design

· Experience with designing board layouts and schematics.
