Nuvance Health Intake Liaison Assistant in Danbury, Connecticut

Description

Summary:

Performs office administrative support functions and provides assistance in the daily operations of the department. Processes and coordinates all required clinical documentation and communication to facilitate complete, accurate, and timely registration and flow of patient. Supports the medical records department as needed and assists in covering the reception area and answering the agency phone.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures patient registrations are entered timely and accurately

  2. Follows up on patient registration details as directed by the Intake Department and Clinical Management

  3. Monitors assigned tasks, reports and follows up on unresolved discrepancies

  4. Maintains assigned tracking systems with accurate up-to-date information

  5. Notifies Clinical Supervisor of unresolved discrepancies, missing paperwork or documentation

  6. Supports Medical Records Department as needed with checking in documents, tracking and follow up on outstanding documents

  7. Supports Western Connecticut Home Care's customer service reputation by promoting and maintaining a responsive, knowledgeable, and accessible approach to all customer contacts

  8. Assists in covering the reception area and answering the agency phone

  9. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position

  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Other Information:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

6+ months of experience in a similar position

Working Conditions:

Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk

Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
