Nuvance Health Materials Coordinator in Danbury, Connecticut

Description

Summary:

Orders warehouse inventory, manages inventory, sets up inventory locations and processes department orders. Prepares invoices for payment, performs cycle counts and coordinates inventory set-ups with user departments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtains product information from vendor, reviews order request and utilizes special product line knowledge to ensure efficient & effective purchase of supplies.

  2. Issues a purchase order using automated methods and contacts supply vendors according to established departmental procedures to place orders.

  3. Handles the setup and coordination of inventory locations to insure smooth, efficient processing and organized workflow.

  4. Researches and resolves problems regarding back orders, product returns & billing discrepancies in order to expedite orders & ensure continuity of operations.

  5. Reviews product information and recommends products & purchasing/delivery process that will improve the quality of service.

  6. Maintains item master file within the materials department for housewide use

  7. Approves invoices and reconciles accounts payable.

  8. Prepares and maintains reports, records, & all department files.

  9. Participates in projects or on committees as directed by manager.

  10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Minimum Experience: one year

Desired: MS Word and Excel preferred. Some data entry skills desired.

Working Conditions:

Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
