We are actively seeking experienced Quality Control Technicians to join our team. You will be responsible for day-to-day incoming inspection, first piece inspection, in process inspection, and final inspection to assure all customer requirements and specifications are met. Develop guidelines and procedures for maintaining and ensuring manufacture of a quality product both in house and at vendors. Supervise inspectors and all functions related to quality. Here are the details:

DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Establish all inspection methods for each shop operation.
  2. Secure and set up inspection tools and gauges at each machine.
  3. For first piece inspection, at the start of each production run, be present with the assigned machine operator, set-up person, floor inspector, and production manager to insure a smooth transition from pre-productions to fill-production.
  4. Assign floor inspector to each operation, and instruct him as to what must be done, how often, and of the paperwork/documentation required. Periodically review for compliance.
  5. Instruct machine operators of in-process inspection required, and periodically review.
  6. Instruct night shift supervision and inspector of new operations started during the day shift, and provide information regarding techniques and specifications which must be met.
  7. Inspect raw materials and finished products according to standards for good manufacturing methods and customer requirements.
  8. Visit and review vendor quality procedures no less than once a year, or more often if situation requires it.
  9. Inspect all vendors work, and discuss discrepancies and fixes as required.
  10. Calibrate all inspection tools and gauges, and keep accurate records of results.
  11. Review and update existing quality control manual, as required, to reflect latest techniques or any new procedures, as they occur.
  12. Attend all weekly job planning meetings, review awarded contracts, and recommend inspection equipment and operation considerations to ensure that the specified quality levels are met and maintained throughout the productions process.
  13. Work closely with the production manager and assist as necessary, as well as providing assistance to other factory personnel as required.
  14. Keep the President informed of all current trends in the factory, and of new equipment and techniques available which would enhance the quality efforts of the company.
  15. Perform other duties such as scrap shelf reports, quality audits, and FAT, PPAP setup and measurements including all required paperwork.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • QA/QC INSPECTION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
  • MUST be a legal citizen of the U.S. and able to provide proof of identification
  • Ability to pass a DRUG TEST and BACKGROUND CHECK
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
