• Facilitate patient flow through the Emergency Department toprovideoptimumefficiency in department resources andtimelymanagement of patient care.
• Coordinate patient flow in an efficient manner through collaboration with hospital and medical staff.
• Determinebed placement of EMS and walk-in patients in collaboration with the charge nurse.
• Coordinate andfacilitatetransfers out of the ED (facility transfers and admissions).
• Coordinate tasks toexpeditepatient throughput such as cleaning patient rooms, discharging patients, and transporting patients.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team toidentifyand resolve issues related to patient throughput

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Program in Professional Nursingrequired.
• Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact Staterequired
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previousexperience in acute care hospital setting preferred
