We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer in the manufacturing industry, located in Darien, Illinois! In this role, you will be managing, maintaining, and ensuring the seamless operation of our network systems. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks from monitoring network performance to ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and sustain enterprise-level network systems, comprising routers, switches, firewalls, Wireless Access Points, SD-WAN, cloud infrastructure, and other networking devices.

• Scrutinize network performance, diagnose issues, and guarantee prompt resolution of network disruptions and service interruptions.

• Formulate, execute, and sustain network security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect the network from potential threats.

• Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and external service providers to ensure smooth integration and functioning of network systems.

• Consult with various departments to determine networking needs, provide technical guidance, and confirm infrastructure aligns with organizational goals.

• Support IT teams with the deployment and upkeep of servers as necessary.

• Organize and manage network projects, including upgrades, expansions, and migrations to accommodate business growth and new technologies.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

• Oversee network capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.

• Create and maintain documentation for network infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

• Remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network management.

• Contribute to service desk support efforts related to the network.

  Requirements

• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

• Experience with Checkpoint.

• Cisco ASA.

• Familiarity with Cisco Routers.

• Expertise in Cisco Technologies.

• Proficiency in Backup Technologies.

• Experience in Configuration Management.

• Familiarity with Datacenter operations.

• Manufacturing background.

• Proficiency in handling Switches

• Knowledge of Modbus.

• Ability to work with AWS IoT.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Fortinet Firewalls.

• Expertise in Profinet.

• Ability to handle Computer Hardware.

• Knowledge of AB Testing, a plus.
