This is a Remote position.

What you will do:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Develop a deep understanding of how high-tech manufacturing customers’ needs are evolving, with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities and help us stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Analyze competitor offerings and develop innovative strategies to ensure our solutions are always differentiated and valuable to our customers.

  • Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in untapped markets and enhance engagements with existing customers.

  • Leverage your experience and network to expand our footprint within the high-tech manufacturing industry.

  • Represent Trane at industry events and strategic client engagements, establishing our brand as a thought leader in the high-tech manufacturing space.

  • Partner with internal teams to help inform tailored solutions that resonate with customers and drive long-term growth.

  • Build and nurture key relationships with customers and industry influencers, positioning Trane as a trusted partner in the high-tech manufacturing ecosystem.

  • Enhance brand awareness through professional networking and active presence on social media platforms.

  • Customer Relationship and Account Management:

  • Nurture a balanced portfolio of customers, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities across varying stages of development and readiness.

  • Build and maintain detailed customer profiles, tracking key information to ensure that we are always well-prepared to meet evolving customer needs and senior leadership inquiries.

  • Align customer needs with Trane’s diverse product and service offerings, always looking for ways to add value for the customer.

  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions from business development to sales account management, maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and long-term partnership.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Contribute to collaborative efforts across strategy, sales, marketing, and product teams to help ensure customer needs and goals are clearly represented and integrated.

  • Participate in strategic account and opportunity reviews, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

  • Partner closely with the vertical strategy leader to align your efforts with Trane’s broader business goals and ensure that we are growing in the right direction.

  • Understand and communicate client needs and market developments to the broader vertical market team to inform and influence the development of new solutions and offerings.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

  • Track performance metrics and provide regular updates to teammates and senior leadership, offering suggestions for improving our approach based on customer feedback and data insights.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes by sharing your ideas on how we can serve customers better and more efficiently.

  • Actively participate or lead post-mortem reviews for win/loss projects and processes. Analyze outcomes, identify key lessons learned, and provide actionable insights that can be applied to improve future business development strategies.

  • Proven experience and fluency with Salesforce to drive business development initiatives connected to sales success outcomes.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of high-tech manufacturing technologies, with a focus on solutions that support sustainability and innovation.

  • Background in thermal management systems preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within high tech manufacturing, or related fields.

  • Existing network of industry relationships is highly desirable.

  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to lead and influence teams in a collaborative environment, ensuring that everyone is working toward shared goals.

  • Ability to travel 25 – 40% of the time

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $150,000 - $244,500

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
