BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Manager, Change Management Lead will partner with the business and the Enterprise Change Management Office to develop and implement change management plans and activities for Value Stream initiatives and other business initiatives defined by the strategic planning process. The Program Manager, Change Management lead plays a key role to increase associate adoption and usage to meet business objectives and ROI.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Change Management Lead will:

  • Partner with Value Stream business owners and leaders to understand changes and critical dependencies among projects, kaizens and JDIs (Just Do It) initiatives.

  • Leverage a structured methodology, such as Prosci® (ADKAR) and lead change management activities.

  • Apply “Change the MSC Way” - a 6-step change management approach practiced at MSC for projects and the iterative change management process for Kaizen and JDI activities.

  • Lead and implement change management initiatives, influencing decisions through collaboration leadership and a customer-focused approach.

  • Create knowledge and understanding among key stakeholders about change management and how it fits in overall plans and value stream activities.

  • Understand the principals of lean, continuous improvement and value stream thinking.

  • Champion a culture of change management to ensure business standards are embraced by business partners.

  • Support and engage senior leaders / sponsor (s) with proven change management tactics.

  • Identify stakeholders and uncover change impacts to inform change management plans.

  • Create actionable deliverables for core change management plans where applicable: Communications Plan, Training Plan, Engagement/Resistance Plan, Sponsors Roadmap, Managers Plan. Partners with ECMO Manager to ensure consistency in change management application and deliverables.

  • Monitor and track progress of action plans as part of the engagement process.

  • Define and measure adoption metrics; reports findings and facilitates next steps with teams and business owners.

  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics and elevate critical adoption risks to management and executive teams.

  • Develop and maintain key communications documentation to ensure the appropriate amount of structure is applied to reach business objectives.

  • Support Training efforts and engages with L&OD when necessary.

  • Integrate change management activities into project plans and the iterative change management process with business owners of Kaizens and JDIs.

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with cross-functional teams.

  • Foster the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to fulfill MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

  • Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required or assigned by the Program Manager for Change Management

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience is required.

  • 3-5 Years of strong experience with organization change management required.

  • 3-5 Years of related project management, agile, Kaizen experience is a bonus.

  • Prosci® or similar methodology certification preferred, but not required .

  • Participation in some formal change management training at MSC.

    SKILLS:

  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.

  • Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Excellent active listening skills, communications, problem ? solving and decision-making skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative business relationships and move others to work toward a common vision or goal.

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities, making sound business decisions.

  • A team player with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing the support and resources of others to achieve project goals and objectives.

  • Knowledge and experience in integrating change management into overall projects and initiatives.

  • Ability to evaluate user readiness.

  • Experience with large-scale organizational efforts with acute business acumen to identify and understand organizational issues and challenges.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and some light travel m ay be required.

  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).

    Compensation starting at $82390 - $129470 depending on experience.

    The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
