Job Summary:

The Senior IT Business Analyst, focused on our Residential HVAC and Supply SBUs (strategic business units), collaborates with leadership and stakeholders to align IT strategies and initiatives with business goals. They contribute to the development and execution of our strategy; playing a pivotal role in understanding and translating business objectives, needs, and challenges into defined, innovative IT solutions that drive competitive advantage. Drawing on their expertise in partnering, the Senior IT Business Analyst effectively delivers projects and improvements, manages expectations, and facilitates communication between business and technology teams. Through this collaborative approach, they drive technology investments and deliveries that are aligned with the overall business strategy, yield valuable outcomes and elevate the customer experience.

Where is the work: This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Partner with leaders, business stakeholders and technology teams to develop and maintain IT strategy and roadmaps that support and align with business strategy.

  • Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships, becoming a trusted advocate. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between business and technology teams, ensuring best practices are shared, standard work followed, and stakeholders remain informed.

  • Business Analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of customer journeys, employee experiences, business processes and aspirations to identify improvement opportunities. Formulate dynamic recommendations for integrated processes and solutions, while leveraging data to make informed decisions and monitor achievements to business goals.

  • Solution Definition, Design & Delivery: Elicit, analyze and document user and system requirements that align with business objectives and can be translated into actionable plans. Collaborate with architects and developers to evaluate, select and design solutions that address needs and comply with IT standards and best practices. Participate in build and test activities to ensure solutions meet specified requirements and adhere to quality standards.

  • Project Management: Active participation in project management processes, including project initiation, scoping, planning, scheduling, supplier management, monitoring, and reporting to ensure successful and compliant delivery of commitments.

  • Escalation Management: Act as point of contact to receive escalations. Bridge between business and technology teams to ensure effective communication, collaboration, alignment and resolution. Facilitate root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements. Recommend and execute changes to increase efficiency, effectiveness and overall value to the organization, utilizing operational excellence concepts and tools.

  • Technology Evaluation: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to make recommendations for technology investments and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in technology field

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in business analysis, project management, and/or IT service delivery

  • History of leadership or key role contributions on complex projects with successful outcomes

  • Experience in project management, including agile methodology and concepts

  • Understanding of IT development lifecycle, IT Governance and Compliance regulations and IT service management best practices

  • Exceptional ability to independently manage multiple high-priority tasks with precise detail and thorough follow-up

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering outstanding results

  • Ability to influence without direct authority

  • Strong business acumen, with business process modeling and analysis skills

  • Financial acumen and experience in business case development

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with Lean principles

  • Technical acumen, desired proficiency in SQL and data analysis

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, calm demeanor and resilience

  • Experience and desire to work in a large-scale enterprise, with matrixed organization, global technology environment and diverse teams

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Annual Base Compensation: $110,000 – 160,000

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
