Job Description

HII is seeking multiple field engineers to support an exciting and ongoing microelectronics effort with the Air Force Research Laboratory on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In this role you will be operating sensitive test and analysis equipment in support of various microelectronics research and development activities. Multi-disciplined support to execute the extremely challenging research into resilient and assured microelectronics for application to defense systems. The research requires development of assured design techniques and methods, quantified verification, emulation capabilities, and assurance analyses. The research needs include verification and validation of beyond functional analyses of third-party Intellectual Property (IP) as applied to Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Embedded FPGA (eFPGA), and Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) domains.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

  • Minimum active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Requirements

  • Direct experience with microelectronics testing and evaluation equipment outlined in the job description.

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
