The Buyer: Prepares and places Purchase Orders/Request for Proposals for assigned spend, including production materials, supplies, and services in accordance with established inventory systems and/or project definitions. Drive continuous improvement in assigned work content/purchase spend. Verifies/monitors pricing and expedites timely delivery on all purchase orders. Notifies internal stakeholders of any delays and resolves discrepancies/supply issues. Establish and maintain effective communications with suppliers relating to the organization's quality, delivery, and price requirements. Work with Management to identify and implement cost reductions strategies, drives cost savings with assigned spend. Performs other duties as assigned. Opportunities to join various employee committees Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment. Other industries may be considered. Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions. Must be guided by the highest level of integrity and people-centered care.
