Dayton Children's Hospital Crisis Assessment Specialist (pool) - Behavioral Crisis Center in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Behavorial Crisis ServicesSchedule:Part timeHours:4Job Details:The Crisis Assessment Specialist provides emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and referral management to patients and their families. Responsible for assisting patients and their families in understanding and learning to cope with behavioral crisis and facilitate appropriate transition or admission planning for those patients needing placement in Behavioral health treatment facilities or programs. Assist families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties which interfere with effective social functioning. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital. CPI training and CPR certification preferred, not required.

LISW/LPCC preferred, LSW/LPC accepted

CPI/CPR preferred, not required

Department Specific Job Details:

  • This is a pool/casual/non-scheduled position that assists with coverage of 8-12 hour shifts.

  • Availability for day and night shift is preferred.

  • Eligible for shift and weekend differential based on shift.

  • Not eligible for benefits

Education Requirements:

Masters: Counseling (Required), Masters: Social Work (Required)

Certification/License Requirements:

LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board, LSW Ohio - Ohio Licensed Social Worker - Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board
