Premier Health Critical Care Transport Paramedic/ CareFlight Air & Mobile Services in DAYTON, Ohio

Position: Critical Care Transport Paramedic

Department: CareFlight Air & Mobile Services

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

Shift: Full-time Nights 7p-7:30a/ 72 Hours Per Pay

The MICU Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The MICU paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport and may also provide patient care for patients in Miami Valley Hospital and any Premier Health facility where a Mobile Intensive Care Unit is based. The CareFlight MICU paramedic works with all populations of patients. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.

Education : High School completion / GED; Certified as a Paramedic in the State of Ohio

Licensure/Certification/Registration :

 Paramedic in the State of Ohio

 The following certifications are required at the time of hire:

 BLS, ACLS and PALS

 The following certifications are required within the specified time frame following hire:

 90 Days- ITLS or PHTLS

 1 Year – NRP, ATLS (audit)

 2 Years – CAMTS approved professional certification

Experience : Minimum 3 years of full time Paramedic experience required. Preferred to have recent full-time active experience with 911 Emergency Service Agency or MICU Transport Company
