The Inventory Gatekeeper is responsible for transporting finished products from assembly departments, and accurately entering them into the system, and physically moving them to their assigned location. They will utilize an electric pallet jack, hand jack or forklift. The Inventory Gate Keeper must then audit pallets for proper labeling, check pallet quantity and check the WR (work receipt) transactions for accuracy Primary Duties & Responsibilities The Gatekeeper is tasked with running the Negative Report every morning and promptly addressing any issues. Completing this task will necessitate cycle counts and verification of Vantage transactions. Additionally, it's important to count the product as it moves through the department or crosses the "Finish Line."". Ensure the product has the correct label and that the label is clearly visible on the product. Confirm the product is packaged properly. Verify the counts of the product being received. Check the Production Order the products belong to has the correct materials issued (to match the quantities being received) as well as the operations have the correct reported quantities. If this is not the case, these issues need to be resolved with Inventory Control and the Supervisors. Receive the Production Orders in Vantage and stock them using the assigned temporary BIN locations. At the end of the day, print the Bin Stage Report and confirm that all items moved from the finish line location are updated in the system. Highlight the items that remain in the location on the report. Gather the clear packets holding the production travelers; these must be returned to the planning department. The packets should accompany the product throughout the plant and across the finish line. Examine the Closed Job Candidates. Verify that all materials have been allocated and all operations concluded. Alter the job status to COMPLETE and maintain this status for 24 hours to verify any final labor edits. After 24 hours, when performing this process again, address the COMPLETE jobs first and change their status to closed. Safety Exhibits safety awareness and maintains a safe and orderly worksite. Proper attire is required to provide personal protection from hazards typically found in a production environment. Supervisor may mandate specific attire which fit the work environment.
