Job Summary The Multifamily Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof/floor trusses and components for multi-family and commercial projects, and other industrial engineered products. Works under general direction of the Design Manager or GMO; exercises discretion and judgment on work priority on a regular basis. Location:must reside in the United States Principal Duties and Responsibilities Designs metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels utilizing adequate software Optimizes designs for maximum efficiency Reviews orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy Assists sales and production with design service and troubleshooting Ensures efficient resource utilization and initiates corrective action as required Prepares various reports as required Performs other duties as required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience is required Minimum 7+ years of experience in related field/responsibilities Working knowledge and experience using MiTek software is preferred Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangers Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
