Actalent Production Supervisor in Dayton, Ohio

Job Title: Production SupervisorJob Description

Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with business objectives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimization of production processes. Identify and implement innovative strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Leverage lean manufacturing principles and data-driven analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a high-performance culture by motivating, coaching, and developing a talented team of manufacturing professionals. Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to empower employees to achieve their full potential. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against goals. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues proactively. Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards throughout the production process. Implement robust quality control measures and investigate non-conforming products to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with customers and other departments to understand their needs and expectations. Ensure that products meet customer specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dayton, Ohio.

Work Environment

Half on the production floor and half at a desk. Will have 3 leads and about 27 assemblers reporting to them. Reports to Director of Operations.
