Description

Our client, a reputable manufacturing company in Vandalia, Ohio is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for a contract to hire position with benefits.

The ideal accounting candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

Support annual audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors Implement and monitor internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Oversee the general ledger in line with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting

Participate in month-end close processes, including the posting of journal entries and accruals, and the preparation of monthly reporting packages

Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience

Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite or Oracle ++)

Strong Excel/Analytical Skills

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
