Premier Health Staffing Coordinator / Nursing Staffing Resources in DAYTON, Ohio

Position: Staffing Coordinator

Department: Nursing Staffing Resources

Shift: 4:30 AM -12:00 PM Part Time 2 days one week and one day the other week. Every other weekend

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

The staffing coordinator is responsible for the staffing and scheduling of float staff and placement of agency staff for all nursing staff as required to meet patient care needs. The individual will perform clerical duties for the office and work collaboratively with each unit to ensure staffing allocation. This individual will maintain personal records for the Division of Nursing. He/she works under the direction of the Administrative Officer on off-shift and weekends.

  1. Staffing and Scheduling : The staffing coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining work schedules for clinical staff. They ensure adequate coverage for patient care areas by coordinating shifts, managing time-off requests, and adjusting schedules as needed.

  2. Clerical Duties : Beyond scheduling, they perform administrative tasks related to staffing. This includes maintaining records, tracking employee hours, and handling paperwork. These efforts contribute to smooth operations and compliance with organizational policies.

  • Area of Study or Major : Ideally, the degree should be related to Clinical or Nursing fields.

  • Preferred Educational Qualifications : Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.

  • Position-Specific Testing Requirement : No specific tests are required for this position.
