Genesis Corp Systems Engineer - R&D in Dayton, Ohio

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Engineer II,R+D Systems for a contract to hire position with a leading client in Versailles , OH. This position will be on-site 4 days per week. Candidates must be a USC or Green Card Holder and able to work on a W2 basis with Genesis10. Job Description: The R+D Systems Engineer II will be part of a team developing new products for the medical, dental, and animal health markets. Working under general supervision, they will bring a methodical systems engineering approach to meeting customer and business needs. This role will work influentially by proactively translating needs into system requirements, designing interfaces, identifying system design gaps, and facilitating resolution among a diverse group of project stakeholders. Job Duties: Elicits and validates stakeholder requirements. Develops and assists team in development of well-structured system requirements that specify reasonable acceptance criteria. Uses analytical techniques to support the architectural design process. Assists with the assessment of architectural feasibility of different concepts. Contributes to systems modeling activities. Leads simple modeling activities to include textual modeling. Assists in technology planning required to provide required capabilities. Collaborates with cross functional/development teams to address quality concerns, drive improvements and to take ownership of technical solutions and their outcomes. Assists in identifying and evaluating risks, contributes to risk mitigation. Communicates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Makes informed decisions within assigned tasks/projects and takes ownership of the outcomes. Works on moderately complex projects, generates alternatives, and conducts testing. Expands problem definition, integrates new information and different perspectives, and chooses optimal solutions based on evidence. Negotiates and resolves conflicting requirements. Develops more complex system models under guidance. Identifies, with guidance, capability issues from the wider system which will affect the design of a system of interest. Facilitates the creation and management of controls for a given interface. Creates integration plans for specific elements of a system under guidance. Mentors co-op and engineer I teammates, focusing on technical skills and cultural competencies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both. INCOSE ASEP certification or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of employment. Ability to generate alternatives and take reasonable risks to solve technical problems Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to take ownership of technical solutions and outcomes Pursues a green belt in Design for Six Sigma If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!
