Premier Health TECH ED&SUPP-PHYSICIAN TRAINER in DAYTON, Ohio

Position: Tech Education & Support- Physician Trainer

Department: Technical Education Support

Shift:8AM-4:30PM

Status: Full-time/ 80 hours per pay period

Facility: Premier System Support/ Remote with some in office requirements

The Technical Education and Support Application Specialist/Physician Trainer must develop and maintain a deep and broad functional knowledge of the application and related workflows, and is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, management, training, and support of all application-related training/upgrades/GoLives. This includes developing project plans, identifying and scheduling resources, and coordinating efforts between team members, IT and stakeholders to complete projects according to plan. The Application Specialist creates and/or directly oversees the development/revision of all application-related training and training materials. It is essential that this role create and maintain highly effective relationships and ongoing communication with application user groups and associated Information Technology teams, as well as participate in related team meetings. The Application Specialist/Physician Trainer is expected to participate in training environment build and provide essential training and support to physician end users throughout the organization.

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree

Additional requirements:

Type of degree : Clinical Informatics, Education, Management, Nursing, RPh, or related Clinical Specialty

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Certification in appropriate EPIC application(s) within 1 yr. of hire

Experience

Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience

Prior job title or occupational experience: Clinical experience as an RN, Pharmacist, healthcare management, or electronic medical record in a healthcare setting

Prior specific functional responsibilities: Experience in an acute healthcare setting

Preferred experience: Experience teaching diverse learners, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience managing projects

Other experience requirements: Experience using electronic medical record

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent written/ oral communication skills

  • Ability to present in front of a group
