Description Robert Half is offering a long-term contract / temporary to hire position for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk at a recognized company in the Real Estate & Property industry. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. We seek out ambitious professionals who are creators, leaders, and pioneers. Located in De Witt, New York, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to internal business partners

• Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Complete full-cycle A/P

• Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Strong familiarity with account reconciliation

• Comprehensive knowledge of Enter Invoices

• Journal entries experience preferred
