Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in DE WITT, New York. This role involves handling the company's financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial information, allowing the company to make informed decisions and meet legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process journal entries to maintain and balance the general ledger

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including posting payments

• Oversee payroll, ensuring all payments are verified and processed correctly

• Maintain and update the A/R Aging report to track outstanding invoices

• Handle light billing tasks and perform bank runs as needed

• Assist with onboarding new employees, carrying out HR duties as required

• Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliations regularly

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data entry and other tasks

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Proven experience in Bookkeeping

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge in handling Payroll

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software
