Calibration Engineer - Engine and Hybrid

Job Description

We are seeking experienced engine and hybrid powertrain calibrators to join our team, focusing on internal combustion engine, diesel, and hybrid electric vehicles. Responsibilities include delivering drivability, managing tailpipe or evaporative emissions, and overseeing on-board diagnostics. This role involves working in vehicles, on road, and at various test facilities. You will calibrate and sign-off vehicle functional objectives, document progress, and design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle attributes such as fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics. Additionally, you will be involved in the calibration and development of advanced aftertreatment technologies for pollutant reduction.

Required

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• 1+ years of experience in drivability, emissions, or OBD calibration

• Experience in engine, hybrid, or EV calibration

• Proficiency in engine calibration tools, preferably ATI Vision

• Data analysis, Scripting, Documenting progress

Work Environment

The role includes working in an engineering office, labs, and requires trips to hot, cold, and high altitude testing locations. Expect approximately 6 weeks of travel per year, with most trips lasting 2 weeks. The position requires a hybrid schedule with three days per week on-site, and up to five days per week depending on work demands.
