PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Seasonal Experienced Prototype Mechanics for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. Experienced Prototype Mechanics will be modifying cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. This Seasonal Experienced Prototype Mechanics position offers an AM Day shift, PM Night shift plus Overtime when needed and is based out of Taylor, MI. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Experienced Prototype Mechanics position below are strongly encouraged to apply. Day shift, Night shift and Overtime are available.
Shift Schedule:
- AM Day shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (Monday - Friday + OT as needed)
- PM Night Shift:6:00 pm to 6:00 am (Monday - Friday + OT as needed)
Must be able to work 12 hours/7 days a week as needed
Responsibilities:
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections
- Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
- Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
- Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, calling for repairs
Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of work experience as a mechanic
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Has own tools with rolling toolbox
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures

Preferred Skills:
- State/ASE certifications
- Valid driver's license
Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers
