In this position…

The technical Product Manager for Ford Credit will lead the development of new digital products and the modernization of existing systems used by Ford Credit customers.

The technical Product Manager will

  • Apply technology to solve business problems and address pain points for customers

What you'll do…

  • Works closely with the Product Organization to establish and/or contribute to the product roadmap whilst ensuring the development teams understand the strategy

  • Works with third parties, internal partners, and software engineers across Ford to integrate products into various channels

  • Clearly communicates product vision to team members and stakeholders.

  • Initiates or translates the team's product roadmap into manageable product features in the backlog.

  • Understands business and user priorities, and technical feasibility in order to prioritize the product backlog and manage risks.

  • Redefines the backlog content to optimize business outcomes based on software product feedback.

  • Employs and/or champions Agile software processes, culture, best practices, and techniques.

  • Gathers user and stakeholder feedback to drive improvements and inform the product roadmap.

  • Actively employs user research using lean validation techniques.

  • Actively manages features and dependencies in and across product releases.

  • Actively works to remove impediments and blockers to team delivery.

  • Identifies risks, and implements mitigation and contingency plans, focused on early mitigation or elimination of risks.

  • Assesses the overall health of the product and prompts key decisions to move it forward.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Engineering or Business related fields

  • 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in software development utilizing agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, XP)

  • 3+ years of experience managing software programs and teams comprising of developers and product managers & UX designers.

  • 3+ years of projects management experience including program planning, dependency management, budgeting & reporting

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making.

  • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and business partners.

Even better, you may have…

  • Experience with project management tools, MS project, agile tools (Jira, Jira align)

  • Passion and demonstrated ability to implement Lean/Lean Startup thinking, focusing on human-centered practices.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8 .
