Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant, based in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing the financial status of our projects and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting systems and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and monitor the financial status of construction projects to ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial reports • Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools to streamline and enhance accounting functions • Responsible for handling Accounts Payable (AP) and auditing procedures, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported • Use tools such as ADP - Financial Services and Crystal Reports to generate comprehensive financial reports and statements • Leverage skills in Budget Processes to develop, implement and manage project budgets • Handle cash activity procedures including monitoring, recording, and reconciling cash transactions • Implement and manage the use of Epicor, an industry-specific accounting software, to improve the efficiency of accounting activities • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards in the construction/contractor industry • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data across the organization • Continually review and improve accounting procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Crystal Reports

• Knowledge of Epicor Software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Auditing skills

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to manage Cash Activity

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Proven experience as a cost accountant or similar role within the construction industry

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Understanding of construction industry regulations and standards.
