The Indirect Sourcing Manager, Americas will work to achieve cost savings objectives through creative procurement strategies, vendor selection and review, and favorable contract agreements. They will focus on key and strategic suppliers to improve supplier performance, reduce cost and receive consistent quality products and/ or services.

This position is in our office in Deerfield, IL and will be onsite, 3 days weekly as a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practice procurement strategies and align local needs with regional and global sourcing strategies

  • Utilize short/long term strategies designed to reduce costs and improve quality and service and meet corporate goals and objectives

  • Develop, improve, implement and sustain Indirect Procurement Policies and Processes

  • Monitor supply markets and trends (e.g., material price increases, shortages, changes in suppliers) interpret the impact of trends on company strategies ensuring category management techniques executed optimize benefits

  • Build and maintain sustainable project saving funnels and execute indirect sourcing projects

  • Evaluate, select and onboard preferred suppliers

Profile:

  • 4 year degree in supply chain, business management, operations, finance or related area with 5+ years of experience in sourcing, buying/procurement with understanding of global supplier markets

  • Experience working with commodity services such as IT, Travel, Fleet

  • Proven strength in negotiating, data/trend analysis and complex problem resolution; project management skills

  • Ability to collect pertinent data, analyze and integrate information by leveraging appropriate productivity tools

  • Experienced leading and influencing with ability to present detailed information to various audiences; agile relationship builder

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Additional:

  • Advanced degree, MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CSCMP SCPro or ISM CPSM) highly preferred
