Position Summary:

AuTrain-Onota Public School (ATO) is a small preschool through 8^th^ grade public school located about 15 miles east of Harvey or 25 miles west of Munising. This position follows the K-8 school calendar for days and hours, which are currently 7:45 am -- 3:20 pm.

ATO is looking for an enthusiastic individual to educate, care for, and inspire the young minds at our preschool, using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling. The lead teacher should have the patience, compassion, and energy to guide a class of young learners.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct oneself as a professional at all times while representing AuTrain-Onota Public School.
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations set forth by the Childcare Division of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
• Meet the annual training requirements for licensing.
• Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that caters to the needs of all students.
• Manage classroom activities including structured lessons, free play, art projects, and snack times.
• Conduct daily assessments of children's learning and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Facilitate a healthy social environment focusing on building interpersonal skills among children.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom space that meets the needs of students.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and social development.
• Maintain ongoing records of students' progress, routines, and interests, and report on this information.
