The Board of Commissioners of Defiance County is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Kitchen Assistant at Defiance County Senior Services. Hours for this position are Monday -- Friday, 6:00 a.m. -- 2:00 p.m. Full-time employees are entitled to paid holidays, eligible for County health insurance, and earn vacation time. All County employees are participants in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

The primary objective of this position, under the direction of the DCSS Director and supervision of the Nutrition Manager, is to assist in preparing, serving, portioning, and packaging meals to senior adults and to provide and ensure sanitary conditions of the food and meal preparation.

Applicants must possess a valid Ohio driver's license, proof of insurance and an acceptable driving record.  Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.
