The Instructional Support Associate will provide support and assistance to maintain and/or improve the quality of the student's educational experience. The Instructional Support Associate is required to perform a variety of duties in the laboratory and offsite projects with a sample of responsibilities as set forth below:
Assist faculty in teaching, demonstrating equipment, and/or observing and assisting students in the development of appropriate techniques in laboratories, shops (labs), on field trips, etc.
Prepare labs, vehicles, tools, and supplies
Under the supervision of a functional head, be responsible for the care, control, repair, maintenance, and delivery of functional materials, supplies, and equipment (including ordering supplies and program accounting).
Supervise such student assistants as may be assigned for the purpose of storing, maintaining, and delivering supplies, materials, and equipment, and to provide such instruction as may be appropriate to the successful operation of the function.
Assist faculty and/or staff with the preparation, development, and presentation of instructional and/or materials for classroom and laboratory instruction.
Attend faculty meetings and coordinate with faculty on a wide range of activities
Job Requirements:
Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of Residential Construction experience, or high school diploma and 5 years of Residential Construction experience (will need an Associate's degree in a relevant field within 5 years)
Minimum of 3 years in the Residential Construction field
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience; broad-based knowledge and experience in the residential construction industry.
Additional Information:
Salary: $42,000
10 month academic position
