Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Lotus Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

The Assistant General Managers role requires operational excellence and provides financial assistance to the General Manager at the Element Hotel DIA. Assistant General Manager of this 123 suite hotel will give you the chance to train and inspire your team while leading the property to excellent service to our guests. You'll work closely with all departments in the hotel to ensure strong communication and great teamwork. The Assistant General Manager has the ability to operate any and all hotel departments according to the needs of the property in a safe and efficient manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and perform self-audits throughout the year.

· Be a Brand Champion; support all Brand initiatives with active participation and sharing best practices with all associates.

· Provide model behavior for guest service by extending professional courtesy to all guests by anticipating, preventing, handling and solving problems as necessary.

· Support SMART Guest Service goals and post expectations and results visible to all associates.

· Be effective at listening to, understanding and resolving the concerns and issues raised by guests and associates.

· Be able to work with and understand financial information and have a desire to learn how to use the information to improve the hotel.

· Provide service training by delivering the Element and Marriott Brand Standard Service training in accordance with compliance.

· Support Associate Satisfaction goals of the hotel by monitoring compliance of the hotel’s action steps.

· Support Operations Managers technical and leadership skill development plans.

· Conduct weekly Leadership Staff Meetings.

· Prepare for and Participate in the Period End Critique process with the Regional Director, Owner/ Asset Manager.

· Order and monitor the hotel’s purchases and ensure financial checkbook accounting compliance while maintaining proper levels of needed items and goods.

· Be an active participant in the on property MOD program, and ensure proper coverage on all shifts.
