Deloitte Government & Public Services Risk & Financial Advisory Solution Analyst - US Delivery Center - Data Management Solutions

As a Solution Analyst in our Discovery practice, you'll have the opportunity to assist clients and their legal counsel, collect, preserve and analyze large and disparate data sets. Analysis of this information is utilized to inform a variety of client use cases including supporting or refuting the facts and allegations of investigations and complex litigation, assisting with data remediation efforts, transferring data, or supporting claims management. How we leverage our core technologies and analytic mindset continues to evolve within and outside these use cases. Discovery professionals combine investigative skills with advanced computer labs and cutting-edge technology to offer innovative solutions to our clients' complex problems. We assist legal counsel, control the costs, and mitigate the risks associated with the discovery process. We also leverage our capabilities to support clients' management and wrangling of unstructured data, which helps to inform processes and ad-hoc unforeseen circumstances. Work you'll do

Technological evolutions in areas such as big data, cloud and the pervasiveness of social media, continue to present challenges to agencies in today's highly complex environment. You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects while continuously developing your technical skills and working with colleagues from around the globe. This may include:

  • Perform data analysis and present findings in support of fraud, embezzlement, theft of intellectual property, data management and/or other forensic and cybercrime investigations

  • Create dashboards to help clients visualize their data environment using a variety of visualization tools, such as Tableau, Kibana, Qlik, and/or PowerBI

  • Perform quality control processes and establish additional quality control procedures, in an effort to maintain quality deliverables on engagements

  • Participate and bring a point of view to client discussions around emerging technologies such as cloud computing, automation, data analytics, and/or artificial intelligence

  • Develop and maintain client relationships through consistent delivery and subject matter knowledge

    Regardless of project type, your work will require:

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with clients and teams

  • A consultative orientation and ability to deliver a broad range of innovative and value-added services

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience working with and managing data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, transformation, and providing preliminary descriptive analytics

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to quickly and concisely research and collect data from unique places

  • Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way

  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in one of the following majors:

  • Technology: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems

  • Business: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics

  • Math/Engineering: Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Statistics, Actuarial

  • Strong academic track record (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel up to 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

  • Must live within a commutable distance to your assigned office ( e.g. 100 mile radius) with the ability to commute daily, if required , upon start date.

    Preferred:

  • Strong academic track record (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0)

  • An understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Ability to write or understand Pseudocode and/or generate technical requirements based on client needs

  • Working knowledge of operating systems, file systems, and cloud technology (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,500 to $65,000.
