As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design, sustaining efforts and electrical verification testing of our wearable consumer electronics products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, hands-on experience with sustaining engineering activities (especially schematic capture and PCB layout), and a proven track record of conducting electrical verification testing to ensure product reliability and performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in new designs as well as sustaining efforts to maintain and improve the performance and reliability of existing wearable consumer electronics products. Investigate replacements for obsolete and ‘end of life’ components.

  • Cross-functionally lead and participate in failure analysis / investigations to find the root-cause of production and field failures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and manufacturing to address product issues, implement design changes, and resolve technical challenges.

  • Develop and execute electrical verification test plans to validate product designs, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot electrical issues, and provide recommendations for design improvements and optimization.

  • Create documentation including test procedures, reports, and specifications to support product development and manufacturing processes

Skills/Abilities:

  • Highly proficient with Altium Enterprise for schematic capture and PCB layout to support sustaining efforts.

  • Proficiency in electrical design tools such as CAD software (e.g., Altium Enterprise) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).

  • Experienced in the application of embedded microcontrollers. MSP430, ARM7, and STM32 microcontroller experience and IAR, KEIL development environments a plus.

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, and PCB layout.

  • Experienced in C and assembly language programming.

  • Proficiency in using various development tools and instruments such as oscilloscopes, meters, SPI bus analyzers, Pscpice, packet sniffers, emulators, JTAG debugging interfaces, logic analyzers, function generators, etc.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to wearable consumer electronics products.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly and concisely.

  • Experience with Arena PLM, Salesforce, or JD Edwards a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • 10+ years of progressive related experience
