Gas Operations Improvement Intern

Project Description:

  • The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Operations, and Finance to enhance the efficiency of the Gas, Distribution, and Transmission business units. The focus will be on analyzing intricate workflows that affect various departments, leveraging data analytics to quantify improvement opportunities, and actively participating in the implementation of organizational changes. The position offers hands-on operational experience and mentorship, enabling the candidate to develop substantial professional acumen and interpersonal skills.

  • This position is available as a yearlong or summer internship with the potential to extend into the academic year. Candidates are expected to commit to a full-time schedule during the summer months. Should the internship continue into the school year, a part-time schedule will be accommodated.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business, engineering or related field.

  • Demonstrated Critical Thinking skills and abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics and in a simplified and understandable manner.

  • General Business Acumen

Preferred Requirements

  • General curiosity for continuous improvement and innovation

  • Ability to leverage analytical capabilities.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $22.50 to $30.10 per hour

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
