About the Work Unit:
The Office of Human Resources exists to serve the Department of Public Health and Environment through the classification and selection process, education and enforcement of State Personnel rules and regulations, Director's Procedures, and State Statute related to the management of Human Resources. Human Resources strives to promote productivity, a positive work environment, diversity and inclusion, fairness in hiring and management practices, resources for dispute management, equal opportunity employment, Americans with Disabilities accommodations, benefits administration, Family Medical Leave implementation and tracking, Workman's Compensation assistance, and education for supervisors and employees related to all aspects of Human Resource management. The purpose of the HR work unit is to provide professional, educational, administrative and clerical support services to internal and external customers of the Department of Public Health and Environment.
What you will be Doing:
This position is responsible for the overall development and maintenance of data analytics related to HR functions that are in line with workforce strategy & development goals for the department. By using data analytics, this position is responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that are used to make informed decisions and recommendations on HR strategies and other business insights. This position tracks all analytics pertaining to HR
and creates dashboards to easily access the data needed to support leadership decision making.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in data analyzation, statistics, data visualization, data cleaning
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, Statistics) and/or relevant experience in data analyzation, statistics, data visualization, data cleaning equal to six (6) years
This experience must be substantiated within the work history section of the application. The words, "See Resume" will not be accepted. Part-time work will be pro- rated.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing data dashboards, charts, and visual aide in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Smartsheets and Looker Studio
Familiarity with handling confidential data
Experience informing leaders on types of data needed in order to make informed business decisions
Experience cleaning and interpreting complex data sets from multiple data sources
Experience working with Salesforce and/or Cornerstone OnDemand
Possesses a solid foundation in Statistics and statistical software (such as Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, SAS)
Tableau certification

This position has been designated as hybrid. The Hiring Manager will discuss the expectations and details of the schedule with you during the interview process.
