This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists and engineers you will help define the concept of operations for a lunar lander mission, with a particular focus on system autonomy definition, simulation & modeling, validation activities, and leading mission phase or activity definition.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Translate high level CONOPS to vehicle autonomy descriptions, sequence diagrams, or operations procedures
Use and develop MBSE activity models and physics-based simulations to validate mission performance
Use software-in-the-loop testbeds and evaluate scenario tests to ensure they meet the intent of the CONOPS
Discover and resolve hardware or CONOPS issues and mitigate open risks using functional and scenario testing
Lead multidisciplinary, task-focused teams to solve complex problems

B.S. or M.S. in aerospace engineering or related field
