Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a skilled Optical Network Engineer to manage design planning, record creation, and capacity fulfillment across the U.S. and Canada. This role involves collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to address issues during capacity projects and designing DWDM networks per standards and future growth needs. The candidate will provide direction in circuit design, review capacity requests, and maintain customer commitments in our database. Additionally, the role includes supporting field operations, managing workload priorities, and participating in operations-related projects. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work around obstacles to meet deadlines are essential.

This person can work remote anywhere in the United States. This position is looking to pay $48.07/hour based on skills and experience as well as benefits are offered through Insight Global while on contract.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or data networking.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of optical systems (Fuji, Ciena, Adva, Cisco, Infinera, or Nokia) and ROADM technology.

• Experience with Salesforce (ServiceNow and SiteTracker are a plus) - Telecom inventory systems, Metasolv null
