Collaborate with project design team to determine technical building/spatial design criteria and functional and spatial performance of healthcare project areas. Correct and update design documents to ensure maintenance of design concept. Apply theoretical and practical fundamentals of healthcare architecture to refine the design concept as well as prepare complete and accurate electronic working plans and detail drawings using Revit software. Use Revit and other 3D software to build models reflecting design intent and technical information documenting the precise dimensions of the physical environment, including plans, sections, elevations, details, water proofing, and life-safety code compliance. Implement refined technical design solutions and resolve conflicts between design intent and code requirements. Assist in maintaining designed project square-footage as related to approved program. Integrate engineering systems into healthcare project designs while ensuring conformance with design goals and compliance with municipal and state life-safety and building codes. Coordinate production of BIM-related drawings utilizing Revit software to reflect planning and design recommendations and client expectations relative to approved schematic, design-development packages, and the client-directed budget. Mentor junior staff. Participate in responding to client and prospective client requests for proposal and project presentations to clients, and attend professional seminars for continuing education purposes. Qualifications
Master's degree in architecture plus 2 years of experience with producing technical design and construction drawings of healthcare projects, or alternatively, bachelor's degree in architecture plus 5 years of experience with producing technical design and construction drawings of healthcare projects. Registered Architect in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Experience applying and overseeing the development of BIM-related drawings utilizing Revit software. Experience producing design documentation using Revit software.
