Intermountain Health Room Service Attendant in Denver, Colorado
Job Description:
Under close supervision, the Food Service Associate performs a variety of food service duties.
Job Essentials
As a Room Service Attendant you need to know how to:
Distribute menus and deliver and pick up patient meal trays.
Communicate proper procedure for using Room Service to patient. Communicate with diet office in regard to patients meals.
Assemble patient food trays accurately, working as part of a Room Service driven production line; place appropriate and correctly portioned menu items, following individual selections.
Check all food items for quality before serving.
Order par stock for floor kitchen and put it away.
Report equipment malfunctions to Lead or Manager.
Follow safety practices to include but not limited to equipment safety, guards, spills cleaned up immediately and chemical usage, gloves and safety glasses used, (appropriate PPE) and preventing burns.
May record temperatures.

Weekends required and some holidays
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Previous food service and customer service experience, preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) training to be obtained after hire
Physical Requirements:
Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$18.29 - $21.88
