Philips Sales Specialist, Digital Pathology (West Zone) in Denver, Colorado

Blend your key account management and market business development talents together to be fully responsible for the sales of Philips Digital Pathology products, as well as to develop opportunities with potential interested prospects. In this unique role, you will sell solutions to a target segment of the US market in addition to working to identify, investigate, and develop business planning for further market introduction. The West region covers the following states (MT, ND, SD, ID, WY, NE, UT, CO, KS, AZ, NM)

Your role:

  • Developing, maintaining, and improving relations with accounts to keep or to set Philips as preferred supplier. Crafting and implementing action programs for and with accounts to improve performance of Philips Digital Pathology Solutions

  • Fully supporting the implementation of a business plan with market research/product/market specifications. Achieving budgeted sales volumes, prices and profit margins

  • Ensuring continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operating at the highest level in the accounts’ organizations; facilitating the executive level interfaces between the company and the accounts as needed

  • Generating new business ideas through independent scouting of internal and external sources; adding to the pipeline of business opportunities contributing to the development and implementation of local marketing strategies

  • Determining the attractiveness of identified business ideas; preparing compelling business case proposals to show potential and further internal discussions; developing persuasive business cases in order to get qualification by management and the necessary budget for further development into a business plan including the implementation (project scope, content, deliverables, milestones, budget)

You are the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of related sales experience in capital/medical equipment or IT sales, or equivalent experience

  • Understanding of the Healthcare and Clinical Laboratory Markets in North America. Knowledge and experience in Digital Pathology. Health IT or IT background, preferred

  • Executive presence and strong presentation skills; experience working with C-Suite. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $192,250 to $222,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
