This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers and designers, you will work as a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Requirements and Design for the lunar lander system. As Responsible Engineer for Vehicle Requirements and Design, you will be a leader for defining and developing requirements and design artifacts for the system, as well as developing the processes and strategies for managing specifications, design parameters, and technical performance measures for the vehicle. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Define requirements and design processes and strategies, including the tools and infrastructure required to execute your vision Own the vehicle product and specification tree Manage and approve requirement changes and define the change control processes for requirements and design parameter changes Manage the definition of interface requirements and their verification Understand and define the relationships and traceability between requirements, design parameters, technical budgets, ICDs, program plans, and technical performance measures Develop and execute plans for completing requirements and design products, coordinating across Integrated Product Teams Perform compliance and traceability assessments and be able to report key metrics and issues effectively to program leadership and stakeholders Utilize good engineering and business judgement to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered to satisfy mission objectives Collaborate across Lunar Systems Engineers to develop best practices and find opportunities for common processes across projects Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles

Minimum Qualifications Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
