Marketplace Sales Analyst

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Marketplace Sales Analyst at icebreaker and Smartwool looks a little like this.

You will play a crucial role in supporting the Marketplace sales team by providing data driven analytics and tools that help provide insights, grow sales and impact future forecasting. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, pro-active nature, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally will contribute to the success of the Marketplace sales channel strategy. The primary responsibilities of this dynamic role will center around sales development analysis and orderbook management. Analytical insights generated will inform the sales strategies needed to achieve sell-in & sell-through targets. Anticipating opportunities or risk through consumption trend analysis will require creative thinking and critical problem-solving skills.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Sales Development Analysis: Utilize customer data sources and internal reporting to optimize sales, enhance future season forecasting accuracy, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the channel. A key element is identifying and capitalizing on in-season incremental opportunities.

  • GTM Assortment Tools: Utilize data tools to gather insights, develop informed sales targets, and support sell-in and sell-through strategies.

  • Orderbook Management: Monitor and analyze monthly orderbook to ensure optimized fulfillment and delivery to customers; ensure supply-demand match for the seasonal orderbooks. Assist in coordinating bulk order conversion processes, ensuring accurate order entry and fulfillment.

  • Seasonal Master Data: Creating and maintaining seasonal Marketplace brand line lists at the UPC level by Brand for use by 1P and 3P retailers and sales team, ensuring appropriate and accurate data for system set up and/or order creation. Maintaining seasonal auditing of UPC and price lists as items discontinue or are updated.

  • Online Policy and MAP Enforcement: Monitors and manages both brand online policy violations, as well as the relationship with 3rd party tools to help better Identify unauthorized sellers and authorized retailer violations to ensure a clean marketplace.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3 years of sales experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Passion for the brand and the portfolio initiatives

  • Well-organized, attention to detail with a knack for problem-solving and proactive approach.

  • A team and customer-first attitude, with a high level of dedication.

  • Excellent MS Office application skills including Excel, Access, and Power Point.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Hiring Range :

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
