Amazon Sr. Program Manager - Facilities Management, Global Facility Management - Central RME in Denver, Colorado

Description

Amazon is seeking an organized, dynamic, autonomous data driven expert in Facilities Management to support the development of the function in North America, impacting more that 1000 sites in the US and Canada and overseeing $2B of spend, with possibilities of expansion to Mexico and rest of Americas.

As a Facilities Management expert, this individual will collaborate with multiple stakeholders (Procurement, Operations, Finance, and local Maintenance teams), to develop strategies to optimize the cost, quality and performance of the hard-soft services (i.e. Base building, Janitorial, Waste and Peste management, Snow removal, etc.)

Key job responsibilities

  • Supports the development of the Facilities Management functions in NA

  • Point of contact with other global Subject Matter Experts established in the EU and supports the adoption of global strategies modifying them as needed to meet local regulations/restrictions

  • Engages with business owners and leadership to support the deployment/adoption of the FM strategies/initiatives to improve cost, quality and performance.

  • Develop performance KPIs, tools and dashboards to consolidate the teams reporting of metrics (i.e. savings, escalations, compliance, risk, etc.) to the business and leadership.

  • Analyse spend from services on multiple business units across the NA region to support data driven decisions.

  • Partner with Finance, Field teams and Procurement to improve our data management, categorization and budgeting.

  • Support the definition of the gap analysis of internal and external stakeholders and the required training program needed to succeed the delivery of a successful FM strategy.

  • Represent the team in the multiple Business Reviews with internal and external stakeholders to centralize points of contact.

  • Travelling domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.

About the team

The Global Facility Management (GFM) team is part of the Building Excellence Management (BXM) team in the Global Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (GRCT) organization. The team oversees the external maintenance strategy for hard services (base building) and soft services (janitorial, pest/waste management.) globally representing +$3B yearly spend. The team is composed by two typical functions, the Subject Matter Experts (SME) who own service strategy, the scope definition, performance tools, best practices and innovation; the Regional Portfolio Manager (RPM), who act as a technical vendor managers, owning tendering, vendor performance, contract management, and site support for local vendor management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
